Car diagnostics: how we help
CarmaCars does not do mechanical work, but for a diagnostic check on the Lexus GS we arrange a trusted shop. A steady check engine light needs a check soon; a flashing one means pull over safely and get help.
Your GS and the shop
Bring the owner's manual or service records if you have them. Your owner's manual lists the maintenance schedule for the GS. Note the mileage on the odometer when you send the request.

Between shop visits
Do not ignore a warning light; an early check often costs less than a late repair. Wash the underside of the car in winter to clear road salt. Follow the maintenance schedule in your owner's manual, by time or distance.
Before the shop starts
Ask whether the parts are new, rebuilt or used. If a warning light was the reason, ask what the code was and what fixed it. Ask if the shop needs the car for a full day or only a few hours.
