The 2020 Subaru Forester Base: Car diagnostics

Your 2020 Subaru Forester Base needs a diagnostic check? We arrange a trusted shop; CarmaCars does not do the work. A warning light is the car asking for a diagnostic scan; the code tells the shop where to look.

About your Forester

The shop may ask for the VIN to order the right parts. Note the mileage on the odometer when you send the request. Mention the trim and engine in your request; parts differ between them. Under the hood: the 2.5L 4-cylinder and all-wheel drive.

How we help

We follow up until the shop has the car booked in. You agree the price with the shop before any work starts. We do not set the shop's price or promise a date.

Driving while yours is at the shop

Keep moving with a rental while the shop has your car, by the day at our usual rates. We bring the rental to you and collect it afterwards. We meet you with the car at the time we confirm, at your address or ours.

Questions to ask the shop

Ask when the car will be ready and how the shop will tell you. Ask whether the quote includes both parts and labour. Ask how long the job should take, so you know how long to rent for.

Between shop visits

Do not ignore a warning light; an early check often costs less than a late repair. Have the battery tested before winter if it is more than a few years old. Use the grade of fuel your owner's manual calls for.
