Specs, explained

Its powertrain is the 2.5L 4-cylinder with all-wheel drive. It runs on regular gas. With all-wheel drive, it pulls away more surely on slippery roads, though it does not stop any shorter.

Expect about 25 litres for every 300 km, going by its 8.2 L/100 km combined rating. Every 100 km costs about $12.71 in fuel at our price setting.

Room inside

Its SUV body gives a high seating position and an easy load height.

When the Forester makes sense

It suits a stretch between cars, by the week or the month. It suits someone whose own car is in the shop for a while.

Renting the Forester from CarmaCars

A request for your dates gets you an offer from a person. None in our fleet right now; ask and we look for one for your dates. Meanwhile, 6 similar cars are listed below.

What to expect when you book

Choose a car, set the pickup and return times, and send the request. You pay nothing to ask. You get an offer that says exactly what the rental costs before tax. If the offer works for you, approve and pay to confirm. If not, you owe nothing.

Each listing shows the daily, weekly and monthly rate of that car. For longer stays, each booking of up to 365 days renews with a new agreement. With 2 hours of notice or more, a same-day pickup can work when the car is free.

Before pickup

Renters must be at least 18 and hold an Ontario G2 or G licence. Age fees stop at 26: younger drivers pay a daily young driver fee. A card in your name pays for the rental, and we see it with your licence at pickup.

The CarmaCars Protection Plan is one of three options for damage to the car; the others are OPCF 27 on your policy or a card with rental car benefits. Each car's deposit is listed on its page, so you know it before you ask. A quick licence and identity check happens before we confirm any booking.
