Car hire: the 2021 Toyota Corolla XLE

Want to know if the 2021 Toyota Corolla XLE suits a rental car? Read on. You choose the car; a person confirms it and sends the price. Every car has its own page with its rates and calendar.

Java and the Corolla

Java is about 1,639 km from Toronto, outside our delivery area. If you are starting from Toronto, rent the car here and drive it to Java.

The pages for Selby, Lowry and Sitka cover the areas next door.

Reading the spec sheet

Its 1.8L 4-cylinder drives through an automatic (CVT). It runs on regular gas. With front-wheel drive, the weight of the engine sits over the driven wheels, which helps in winter.

Expect about 22 litres for every 300 km, going by its 7.3 L/100 km combined rating. At our price setting, 1,000 km costs about $113.20.

Good uses for the Corolla

It suits a work trip where a reliable car matters more than anything else. It suits a stretch between cars, by the week or the month.

Practical details

As a compact car, it is easy to drive and park in the city. In plain terms, its 368 litres of luggage space hold about two large suitcases and a few soft bags.

Renting the Corolla from CarmaCars

If you want this one, say so in the request; we confirm before you pay. None in our fleet right now; ask and we look for one for your dates. Meanwhile, 7 similar cars are listed below.

Requirements

Drivers need to be 18 or over, holding an Ontario G2 or G licence for the whole rental. Drivers below 26 pay a fee each day of the rental, and older drivers pay none. Payment is by a card in your name, shown with your licence at pickup.

The CarmaCars Protection Plan is priced in your offer by car and driver age, as one of three options for damage to the car. Each car's deposit is listed on its page, so you know it before you ask. We check your licence and identity before we confirm, the same way for every renter.

Booking in plain terms

Send the request with your dates first; no money changes hands at that stage. The offer comes from a person, not a robot, and it carries the full price. If the offer works for you, approve and pay to confirm. If not, you owe nothing.

Each car has its own page with its photos, its rates and its calendar. A rental of 7 days or longer is priced at the weekly rate. Book ahead if you can; 2 hours is the shortest notice we take.
