Engine and fuel

The engine is the 2.0L 4-cylinder turbo hybrid, with all-wheel drive and a 7-speed automatic. It is a hybrid: the battery charges itself as you drive and brake, so there is nothing to plug in. All-wheel drive helps when pulling away on snow; braking and steering still depend on the tires.

Plan on about 25 litres per 300 km; the combined rating is 8.3 L/100 km. Every 100 km costs about $12.87 in fuel at our price setting.

Is it right for your trip?

It suits a work trip where a reliable car matters more than anything else. It suits a family trip where everyone and everything fits in one car.

Living with the A4

A car body like this keeps the weight low, so it feels settled on the highway. In plain terms, its 340 litres of luggage space hold about two large suitcases and a few soft bags.

Can I rent it?

This exact car is not in our fleet at the moment; a request asks us to look for one. If you want this one, say so in the request; we confirm before you pay. Similar cars are listed below if you need one now. The car can come to your door in the Toronto area, or you pick it up at no charge.

Who qualifies

Drivers from 18 up, with an Ontario G2 or G licence, are welcome. Under 26, a young driver fee applies for each day of the rental. Your original licence, not a photo, comes with you to the handover.

Before the keys change hands, one of three options must be in place for the car: OPCF 27, a card benefit, or the CarmaCars Protection Plan. Your deposit is held about 1 hour ahead of pickup and released after the return. Every renter goes through the same check of licence and identity before the car is confirmed.

From request to keys

A booking with us starts as a request that you send without paying. You get an offer that says exactly what the rental costs before tax. Your card is charged only when you approve the offer.

Open a car to see its photos, rates, deposit and kilometres included. From 7 days, the weekly rate takes over. Pickups need at least 2 hours of notice from the time you send the request.

Ready to ask?

Ask for the car, read the offer, approve it if it suits you.
