Engine and fuel

The 2.0L 4-cylinder turbo hybrid is what moves it, with all-wheel drive. It is a hybrid: the battery charges itself as you drive and brake, so there is nothing to plug in. All-wheel drive sends power to all four wheels, which helps on snow and wet roads; good tires still matter most.

It is rated at 8.3 L/100 km combined; 300 km takes about 25 litres. At our price setting, 1,000 km costs about $128.70.

When the A4 makes sense

It suits anyone who needs a car for a few days, a week or a month without buying one. It suits visitors who want a familiar car for a week in town.

The A4 in everyday use

A car body like this keeps the weight low, so it feels settled on the highway. The EPA measures its luggage space at 340 litres, roughly about two large suitcases and a few soft bags.

Renting this car

Ask for your dates, and we reply with what we can offer. None in our fleet right now; ask and we look for one for your dates. Similar cars are listed below if you need one now. The car can come to your door in the Toronto area, or you pick it up at no charge.

Renting: the basics

You must be 18 or older and hold a valid Ontario G2 or G licence. There is no maximum age. Drivers under 26 pay a young driver fee each day. Your original licence, not a photo, comes with you to the handover.

Liability to others is in the rate. Damage to the car is handled by your policy (OPCF 27), your card's rental benefit, or the CarmaCars Protection Plan, priced in your offer. Deposits differ by car. Each car's page shows its amount. Before confirming, we verify the licence and identity of each driver.

Requesting a car

To get started, send a request for the car and dates. You are not charged for it. Back comes an offer you can read at your own pace, with every charge on it. An offer is valid for 24 hours, and you pay only when you approve it.

Open a car to see its photos, rates, deposit and kilometres included. Stay as long as you need: up to 365 days a booking, then renew. We need at least 2 hours of notice before a pickup.

Your move

Send a request today, and approve the offer only if it works for you.
