Under the hood

Its powertrain is the 2.0L 4-cylinder turbo hybrid with all-wheel drive. It is a hybrid: the battery charges itself as you drive and brake, so there is nothing to plug in. All-wheel drive sends power to all four wheels, which helps on snow and wet roads; good tires still matter most.

Rated at 8.3 L/100 km combined, it needs around 25 litres for a 300 km round trip. Driving 300 km costs roughly $38.61 at our price setting.

How big it is

As a compact car, it is easy to drive and park in the city. Its 340 litre trunk is enough for about two large suitcases and a few soft bags.

Best uses

It suits commuters, couples and business trips. It suits a stretch of weeks between selling one car and buying the next.

Can you rent one?

Ask for your dates, and we reply with what we can offer. None in our fleet right now; ask and we look for one for your dates. Meanwhile, 6 similar cars are listed below. Your offer shows the delivery fee if you want the car brought to you.

Driver requirements

You need an Ontario G2 or G licence, valid for the whole rental, and to be 18 or older. If any driver is under 26, a young driver fee is added for each day. Debit works on cars marked "no credit card needed"; the others take a credit card.

Every rate includes third-party liability. The car itself needs one of three options: OPCF 27, a card benefit, or the CarmaCars Protection Plan. Deposits differ by car. Each car's page shows its amount. Extra drivers are welcome; each one is checked and signs the agreement.

The steps

Requests are free: choose a car, add your dates, and send it. We answer with a written offer: the car, the dates, the price and the deposit. You pay only once you approve the offer.

Rates are set car by car and shown on each car's page. Short trips and long stays use the same request; the rate follows the length. With 2 hours of notice or more, a same-day pickup can work when the car is free.
