What the specs mean

The engine is the 2.0L 4-cylinder turbo, with all-wheel drive and an 8-speed automatic. The turbo gives a small engine the pull of a bigger one when you need it. All-wheel drive helps when pulling away on snow; braking and steering still depend on the tires.

A combined rating of 11.4 L/100 km works out to about 34 litres per 300 km. Per 100 km, plan on roughly $19.95.

Practical details

Being a full-size SUV, it handles luggage, strollers and sports gear well.

A good match for

It suits anyone who needs a car for a few days, a week or a month without buying one. It suits someone whose own car is in the shop for a while.

Rent it from us

If you want this one, say so in the request; we confirm before you pay. Meanwhile, 6 similar cars are listed below. None in our fleet right now; ask and we look for one for your dates. Your offer shows the delivery fee if you want the car brought to you.

What we check

Every driver must be 18 or older with an Ontario G2 or G licence. Young drivers are welcome: a daily fee applies under 26. The payment card and the licence must match the driver's name.

Third-party liability is in the rate; for the car, bring OPCF 27, use your card's benefit, or add the CarmaCars Protection Plan. A deposit is held for every rental, about 1 hour before you get the car. Extra drivers are welcome; each one is checked and signs the agreement.

Getting the car booked

Tell us the car and the dates in a request. There is no fee for asking. Next comes our offer, with the confirmed car and every charge on one page. You have 24 hours to approve an offer, and payment comes with your approval.

Rates are set car by car and shown on each car's page. Need it longer than 365 days? Renew with a new agreement when the booking ends. A request can be for today, as long as the pickup is at least 2 hours away.

Over to you
