Renting for Java

Reading the spec sheet

The 2.0L 4-cylinder is what moves it, with front-wheel drive. It runs on regular gas. With front-wheel drive, the weight of the engine sits over the driven wheels, which helps in winter.

Combined fuel use is 7.3 L/100 km: about 22 litres for 300 km. Expect about $11.32 per 100 km at our price setting.

Good uses for the Sentra

It suits someone whose own car is in the shop for a while. It suits anyone who needs a car for a few days, a week or a month without buying one.

How big it is

As a mid-size car, it is easy to drive and park in the city. Luggage space is 396 litres, enough for about two large suitcases and a few soft bags.

What happens when you ask for a car

Nothing to pay up front: the first step is simply a request. Our reply is an offer that lists the rate, the kilometres included and any delivery fee. When you approve the offer and pay, the car is booked for you.

The rates you see on a car's page are the rates in your offer. A booking can be a single day or up to 365 days. With 2 hours of notice or more, a same-day pickup can work when the car is free.

What we need from you

You need an Ontario G2 or G licence, valid for the whole rental, and to be 18 or older. Drivers below 26 pay a fee each day of the rental, and older drivers pay none. The card must be in the driver's name, and we check it with the licence in person.

Every rate includes third-party liability. The car itself needs one of three options: OPCF 27, a card benefit, or the CarmaCars Protection Plan. The deposit is never taken when you book; it comes about 1 hour before pickup. Each renter is checked the same way, before the booking is confirmed.

Ready when you are

When the dates are set, a request gets you a real price.
