Turo alternative: the 2021 Nissan Sentra SR

Turo alternative: the 2021 Nissan Sentra SR. Here is the car in plain words, and how renting one from CarmaCars works. Every car has its own page with its rates and calendar. You choose the car; a person confirms it and sends the price.

Renting for Java

If you need it in Java itself, send a request and we will tell you honestly whether we can help. CarmaCars is based in Toronto, about 1,639 km from Java, and does not deliver there.

If you are close to Java, you may also be near Selby, Lowry and Sitka.

Engine and fuel

Its powertrain is the 2.0L 4-cylinder with front-wheel drive. It runs on regular gas. With front-wheel drive, the weight of the engine sits over the driven wheels, which helps in winter.

It is rated 7.3 L/100 km combined: about 22 litres every 300 km. A 300 km weekend costs about $33.96 in energy at our price setting.

When the Sentra makes sense

It suits a weekend away when the train does not reach where you are going. It suits visitors who want a familiar car for a week in town.

What the Sentra is like

Being a mid-size car, it is easy to park and comfortable on longer drives. The EPA lists 396 litres for luggage, roughly about two large suitcases and a few soft bags.

Getting one from us

None in our fleet right now; ask and we look for one for your dates. Want a car for specific dates? Put them in the request and we check. Meanwhile, 6 similar cars are listed below.

Checking your details

An Ontario G2 or G licence and an age of 18 or more: that is where it starts. Each day of the rental carries a young driver fee if a driver is under 26. At pickup, have your original licence and the payment card ready.

Choose before pickup how damage to the car is handled: your policy with OPCF 27, your card's rental benefit, or the CarmaCars Protection Plan. There is a deposit for each rental, taken shortly before pickup rather than at booking. The checks are the same for everyone: licence, identity and the agreement.

The steps

Requests come first at CarmaCars. You name the car and the dates, and we take it from there. You get an offer that says exactly what the rental costs before tax. You pay only once you approve the offer.

The rates you see on a car's page are the rates in your offer. One booking runs up to 365 days, and a longer stay renews with a new agreement. With 2 hours of notice or more, a same-day pickup can work when the car is free.

Still deciding?

The quickest way to a price is a request with your dates. It costs nothing.
