About the 2020 Tesla Model Y Performance

The 2020 Tesla Model Y Performance for a car with a driver: the facts first, then the booking. Chauffeur bookings are by the hour, two hours minimum; send a request and we reply with the vehicle we can offer and the price.

Java and the Model Y

We rent from Toronto only. If your trip to Java starts in the Toronto area, rent the car here. Java is about 1,933 km from Toronto, outside our delivery area.

Other places near Java: Maydelle, Mewshaw and Oakland.

What the figures tell you

Power: the electric motor; drive: all-wheel drive. Being electric, it is quiet and quick from a stop, and it charges at home, at work or at public chargers. All-wheel drive helps when pulling away on snow; braking and steering still depend on the tires.

For every 100 km it uses about 17.4 kWh. On paper it goes 507 km between charges, less in winter. In money, 1,000 km costs about $26.10 at our price setting.

Practical details

Its SUV body gives a high seating position and an easy load height.

Who rents the Model Y

It suits people curious about the model who want to drive it before they buy. It suits visitors who want a familiar car for a week in town.

Getting one from us

None in our fleet right now; ask and we look for one for your dates. Ask for this exact car in your request, and we tell you what we can offer. Similar cars are listed below if you need one now.

Who can rent

You need to be 18 or older at pickup, with an Ontario G2 or G licence valid for the whole rental. There is no upper age limit, and drivers under 26 pay a fee for each day. Cars marked "no credit card needed" accept a debit card in your name; the others need a credit card.

If your own policy has OPCF 27 or your card covers rental cars, use that; otherwise add the CarmaCars Protection Plan. The deposit is released after the return, once the car is checked. Before confirming, we verify the licence and identity of each driver.

Requesting a car

To book, you request the car for your dates. There is no charge to send it and no obligation. The offer comes from a person, not a robot, and it carries the full price. If the offer works for you, approve and pay to confirm. If not, you owe nothing.

A car's page shows the deposit and the kilometres included each day. A single booking can run up to 365 days. For longer, it renews month after month. A request can be for today, as long as the pickup is at least 2 hours away.
