Java and the Corolla

Next door to Java are Klinefelter, Ibis and Arrowhead Junction.

What the figures tell you

The 1.8L 4-cylinder with front-wheel drive is the powertrain to look at. It runs on regular gas. Front-wheel drive is the usual layout for cars this size, predictable in the rain and the snow.

By the EPA's combined rating of 7.3 L/100 km, 300 km takes about 22 litres. At our price setting, it costs about $11.32 to drive 100 km.

Who rents the Corolla

It suits commuters, couples and business trips. It suits anyone who needs a car for a few days, a week or a month without buying one.

Room inside

Its car body is low and settled, with a separate trunk. Luggage space is rated at 368 litres: about two large suitcases and a few soft bags.

Renting it

Tell us your dates and we check this car or the closest match. We have none on the site right now. Send a request for this exact car and we look for one for your dates. Meanwhile, 7 similar cars are listed below. We deliver around Toronto; pickup at our location is free.

Who can rent

Drivers need to be 18 or over, holding an Ontario G2 or G licence for the whole rental. Drivers under 26 pay a young driver fee for each day, shown on each car's page. A card in the driver's own name is required at the handover.

You need one of three things in place for damage to the car: OPCF 27 on your own policy, a credit card that covers rentals, or the CarmaCars Protection Plan. A deposit applies to every rental. It is shown on the car's page and taken about 1 hour before pickup. The checks are the same for everyone: licence, identity and the agreement.

Getting the car booked

Every booking starts as a request: the car, the dates and where you want it. Nothing is charged to send one. Our team answers with an offer: the confirmed car, the dates and the full price. If it suits you, approve it and pay. Until then, nothing is charged.

Open a car to see its photos, rates, deposit and kilometres included. Trips of 7 days or more use the weekly rate, and shorter trips never cost more than it. Same-day requests are fine with at least 2 hours of notice, when the car is free.

Still deciding?

Ask for the car, read the offer, approve it if it suits you.
