A note on Java

We have no location in Java; CarmaCars rents from Toronto, about 1,639 km away. If you need it in Java itself, send a request and we will tell you honestly whether we can help.

Neighbouring areas include Selby, Lowry and Sitka.

Engine and fuel

The 1.8L 4-cylinder is what moves it, with front-wheel drive. It runs on regular gas. With front-wheel drive, the weight of the engine sits over the driven wheels, which helps in winter.

It is rated 7.3 L/100 km combined: about 22 litres every 300 km. At our price setting, it costs about $11.32 to drive 100 km.

A good match for

It suits someone whose own car is in the shop for a while. It suits visitors who want a familiar car for a week in town.

How big it is

A car body like this keeps the weight low, so it feels settled on the highway. The EPA lists 368 litres for luggage, roughly about two large suitcases and a few soft bags.

Rent it from us

Ask for this exact car in your request, and we tell you what we can offer. We have none on the site right now. Send a request for this exact car and we look for one for your dates. Meanwhile, 7 similar cars are listed below.

Who qualifies

Drivers from 18 up, with an Ontario G2 or G licence, are welcome. Drivers under 26 pay a young driver fee for each day, shown on each car's page. Cars marked "no credit card needed" accept a debit card in your name; the others need a credit card.

Every rate includes liability to others. Damage to the car is covered by your choice: OPCF 27, your card's rental benefit, or the CarmaCars Protection Plan. A deposit applies to every rental. It is shown on the car's page and taken about 1 hour before pickup. Before confirming, we verify the licence and identity of each driver.

What happens when you ask for a car

Your part at the start is short: choose a car and dates and send a free request. We confirm and price it, and the offer arrives in your account and by email. You decide: approve and pay, or let it go. No charge either way until you approve.

You can see every car's calendar and rates before you send anything. Stay as long as you need: up to 365 days a booking, then renew. Short notice is fine: 2 hours is the minimum before a pickup.
