Java and the A4

Java is about 770 km from our Toronto location, beyond the area we deliver to. If you need it in Java itself, send a request and we will tell you honestly whether we can help.

The numbers in plain words

The powertrain to know here is the 2.0L 4-cylinder turbo hybrid, with all-wheel drive. As a hybrid, it does best in stop-and-go traffic, where the electric motor does more of the work. All-wheel drive sends power to all four wheels, which helps on snow and wet roads; good tires still matter most.

Its combined rating is 8.3 L/100 km, which means roughly 25 litres for 300 km. Per 100 km, plan on roughly $12.87.

Good uses for the A4

It suits a family trip where everyone and everything fits in one car. It suits a work trip where a reliable car matters more than anything else.

The A4 in everyday use

It is a straightforward car to drive, park and live with. Its 340 litre trunk is enough for about two large suitcases and a few soft bags.

Can you rent one?

We have none on the site right now. Send a request for this exact car and we look for one for your dates. Similar cars are below if you need one sooner. Ask for your dates, and we reply with what we can offer.

What to have ready

Drivers 18 and older can rent with a valid Ontario G2 or G licence. Age fees stop at 26: younger drivers pay a daily young driver fee. At pickup, have your original licence and the payment card ready.

Three options cover damage to the car: OPCF 27 on your auto policy, a credit card with rental car benefits, or the CarmaCars Protection Plan. The deposit is taken shortly before pickup, and the balance comes back after the return. Everyone who will drive signs the agreement after the licence check.

How a booking comes together

To book, you request the car for your dates. There is no charge to send it and no obligation. The offer we send lists the car we confirm and the full price. The booking is confirmed when you approve the offer and pay it.

You can check any car's calendar before you send a request. From 7 days, the weekly rate applies; up to 365 days, a trip never costs more than the monthly rate. Last-minute plans are fine with at least 2 hours of notice.

Ready when you are
