Reading the spec sheet

The 2.0L 4-cylinder turbo hybrid does the work, through a 7-speed automatic. As a hybrid, it does best in stop-and-go traffic, where the electric motor does more of the work. All-wheel drive sends power to all four wheels, which helps on snow and wet roads; good tires still matter most.

Requirements

You need an Ontario G2 or G licence, valid for the whole rental, and to be 18 or older. Young drivers are welcome: a daily fee applies under 26. Debit works on cars marked "no credit card needed"; the others take a credit card.

Before the keys change hands, one of three options must be in place for the car: OPCF 27, a card benefit, or the CarmaCars Protection Plan. The deposit is separate from the rental price and is returned after the rental. Every driver's licence and identity are checked before we confirm.

All you send at first is a request with the car and the dates, and it is free. A staff member reads the request and sends the offer. We reply within 2 hours. Only an approved, paid offer books the car.

A car's page shows the deposit and the kilometres included each day. Short trips and long stays use the same request; the rate follows the length. With 2 hours of notice or more, a same-day pickup can work when the car is free.
