Reading the spec sheet

Power comes from the 2.0L 4-cylinder turbo hybrid, driving through a 7-speed automatic. It is a hybrid: the battery charges itself as you drive and brake, so there is nothing to plug in. With all-wheel drive, it pulls away more surely on slippery roads, though it does not stop any shorter.

A combined rating of 8.3 L/100 km works out to about 25 litres per 300 km. At our price setting, driving 100 km costs about $12.87, and a 300 km weekend about $38.61.

Rules for renters

If you are 18 or over and hold an Ontario G2 or G licence, you can rent. No maximum age, and a daily fee only for drivers under 26. The card you pay with must be yours, and you bring it to the handover.

For damage to the car itself, have your own policy (OPCF 27), a credit card with rental car coverage, or add the CarmaCars Protection Plan. We take the deposit shortly before pickup and return it after the car comes back. A quick licence and identity check happens before we confirm any booking.

How renting with us works

To book, you request the car for your dates. There is no charge to send it and no obligation. A staff member reads the request and sends the offer. We reply within 2 hours. You have 24 hours to approve an offer, and payment comes with your approval.
