The numbers in plain words

Under the hood: the 2.0L 4-cylinder turbo hybrid and all-wheel drive. It is a hybrid: the battery charges itself as you drive and brake, so there is nothing to plug in. With all-wheel drive, it pulls away more surely on slippery roads, though it does not stop any shorter.

Expect about 25 litres for every 300 km, going by its 8.3 L/100 km combined rating. Expect about $12.87 per 100 km at our price setting.

Best uses

It suits a stretch between cars, by the week or the month. It suits anyone who needs a car for a few days, a week or a month without buying one.

Inside and out

It is a straightforward car to drive, park and live with. The EPA measures its luggage space at 340 litres, roughly about two large suitcases and a few soft bags.

What you need to rent

Drivers from 18 up, with an Ontario G2 or G licence, are welcome. If any driver is under 26, a young driver fee is added for each day. At the handover we check your licence and the card in your name.

Choose before pickup how damage to the car is handled: your policy with OPCF 27, your card's rental benefit, or the CarmaCars Protection Plan. Expect a deposit before every rental; its amount is set by the car. Extra drivers are welcome; each one is checked and signs the agreement.

What happens when you ask for a car

First you send a request with the car and the times. No card is charged for it. We reply with an offer for the car and the dates, priced in full. Only an approved, paid offer books the car.

The calendar on each car's page helps you pick dates that work. A rental of 7 days or longer is priced at the weekly rate. Leave at least 2 hours between your request and the pickup.
