Reading the spec sheet

The 2.0L 4-cylinder turbo hybrid does the work, through a 7-speed automatic. As a hybrid, it does best in stop-and-go traffic, where the electric motor does more of the work. All-wheel drive sends power to all four wheels, which helps on snow and wet roads; good tires still matter most.

The EPA rates it at 8.3 L/100 km combined, so a 300 km weekend uses about 25 litres. Expect about $12.87 per 100 km at our price setting.

It suits a work trip where a reliable car matters more than anything else. It suits a family trip where everyone and everything fits in one car.

Room inside

Being a compact car, it is easy to park and comfortable on longer drives. EPA lists 340 litres of luggage space, enough for about two large suitcases and a few soft bags.

What we need from you

We need every driver to be at least 18, with an Ontario G2 or G licence. There is no maximum age. Drivers under 26 pay a young driver fee each day. A credit card in your name is needed, except on cars marked "no credit card needed", which take debit.

Three options cover damage to the car: OPCF 27 on your auto policy, a credit card with rental car benefits, or the CarmaCars Protection Plan. The deposit comes about 1 hour before you get the car, not at booking. If another person will drive, add them; they go through the same check.

Booking, step by step

First you send a request with the car and the times. No card is charged for it. Then we send an offer. The offer shows the price before 13% HST and the deposit. Payment happens only after you accept the offer.

The calendar on each car's page helps you pick dates that work. Stay as long as you need: up to 365 days a booking, then renew. Pickups need at least 2 hours of notice from the time you send the request.
