Renting: the basics

You must be 18 or older and hold a valid Ontario G2 or G licence. Under 26, a young driver fee applies for each day of the rental. Bring a card in your name; a card in someone else's name cannot be used.

Damage to the car is handled one of three ways: OPCF 27 on your policy, a credit card's rental car benefit, or the CarmaCars Protection Plan. The deposit amount depends on the car and is shown on its page. If another person will drive, add them; they go through the same check.

What to expect when you book

To book, you request the car for your dates. There is no charge to send it and no obligation. A real person reviews your request and sends an offer with the price spelled out. An offer is valid for 24 hours, and you pay only when you approve it.
