The steps

Booking is by request, never instant. You send the car and the dates, and a person at CarmaCars reviews it. A staff member reads the request and sends the offer. We reply within 2 hours. When you approve the offer and pay, the car is booked for you.

The photos on a car's page are of that car. From one day to 365, a single booking covers it. The shortest notice we accept before a pickup is 2 hours.

Checking your details

Ontario G2 or G licences are accepted, for drivers 18 and older. Age fees stop at 26: younger drivers pay a daily young driver fee. Cars marked "no credit card needed" accept a debit card in your name; the others need a credit card.

Liability to others is in the rate. Damage to the car is handled by your policy (OPCF 27), your card's rental benefit, or the CarmaCars Protection Plan, priced in your offer. The deposit comes about 1 hour before you get the car, not at booking. Every renter goes through the same check of licence and identity before the car is confirmed.
