Car subscription: the 2018 Nissan Kicks S

Car subscription: the 2018 Nissan Kicks S. Here is the car in plain words, and how renting one from CarmaCars works. One booking runs up to 365 days and renews with a new agreement. There is no long contract: stop at the end of any booking.

Knobs and the Kicks

Knobs is about 692 km from Toronto, outside our delivery area. If you are starting from Toronto, rent the car here and drive it to Knobs.

Next door to Knobs are Johnson Crossroads, Elmhurst and Union.

What the figures tell you

It is powered by the 1.6L 4-cylinder, with front-wheel drive. It runs on regular gas. Front-wheel drive is the usual layout for cars this size, predictable in the rain and the snow.

Plan on about 22 litres per 300 km; the combined rating is 7.2 L/100 km. A 300 km round trip costs roughly $33.48 at our price setting.

Good uses for the Kicks

It suits people curious about the model who want to drive it before they buy. It suits a work trip where a reliable car matters more than anything else.

Living with the Kicks

As a mid-size car, it is easy to drive and park in the city. Its 708 litre trunk is enough for bulky luggage, a stroller or sports gear.

Can you rent one?

None in our fleet right now; ask and we look for one for your dates. Meanwhile, 6 similar cars are listed below. A request for your dates gets you an offer from a person.

From request to keys

Booking starts online: pick the car, set the times, and send the request at no cost. An offer follows, with the car we confirm and the full price for your dates. If you approve, you pay and the car is yours for those dates.

You can check any car's calendar before you send a request. From 7 days, the weekly rate applies; up to 365 days, a trip never costs more than the monthly rate. We need at least 2 hours of notice before a pickup.

The rules, briefly

An Ontario G2 or G licence and an age of 18 or more are the starting point. A daily young driver fee applies to drivers under 26, with no maximum age. The card must be in the driver's name, and we check it with the licence in person.

Third-party liability is in the rate; for the car, bring OPCF 27, use your card's benefit, or add the CarmaCars Protection Plan. The deposit is never taken when you book; it comes about 1 hour before pickup. We check your licence and identity before we confirm, the same way for every renter.

Still deciding?

If a car here fits, request it for your dates.
