Car subscription: the 2018 Nissan Leaf

Here is the 2018 Nissan Leaf, for anyone after a car by the month. One booking runs up to 365 days and renews with a new agreement. There is no long contract: stop at the end of any booking.

What the figures tell you

The powertrain to know here is the electric motor, with front-wheel drive. It is fully electric: no gas at all, and you return it with the charge it had at pickup. Front-wheel drive is the usual layout for cars this size, predictable in the rain and the snow.

Rated energy use is 18.6 kWh per 100 km. On paper it goes 243 km between charges, less in winter. That works out to about $2.79 per 100 km at our price setting.

Space, size and seats

It is a straightforward car to drive, park and live with. For luggage, 680 litres means bulky luggage, a stroller or sports gear.

Who the Leaf suits

It suits someone whose own car is in the shop for a while. It suits a family trip where everyone and everything fits in one car.

Renting it

Similar cars are listed below if you need one now. If you want this one, say so in the request; we confirm before you pay. None in our fleet right now; ask and we look for one for your dates. Pick it up from us for free, or have it brought to you.

Your booking, in three steps

Requests come first at CarmaCars. You name the car and the dates, and we take it from there. We look at the request and send back an offer with the price for your exact dates. You pay when you approve, and only then.

You can check any car's calendar before you send a request. Weekly pricing starts at 7 days, and a trip never costs more than that rate for a week. With 2 hours of notice or more, a same-day pickup can work when the car is free.

What we check

Our minimum age is 18; an Ontario G2 or G licence is required. There is no upper age limit, and drivers under 26 pay a fee for each day. The name on the card has to match the name on the licence.

Third-party liability is included in the rate. For damage to the car, you choose one of three options before pickup. The deposit is separate from the rental price and is returned after the rental. Before confirming, we verify the licence and identity of each driver.
