Renting: the basics

Ontario G2 or G licence holders aged 18 and up can request a car. Drivers below 26 pay a fee each day of the rental, and older drivers pay none. We need to see the card and the licence of the person renting.

For damage to the car itself, have your own policy (OPCF 27), a credit card with rental car coverage, or add the CarmaCars Protection Plan. The deposit is taken about 1 hour before pickup, never when you book. If another person will drive, add them; they go through the same check.
