The minimum age is 18, and the licence must be an Ontario G2 or G, valid for the whole trip. Young drivers, under 26, can rent too, with a fee for each day. Cars marked "no credit card needed" accept a debit card in your name; the others need a credit card.
If your own policy has OPCF 27 or your card covers rental cars, use that; otherwise add the CarmaCars Protection Plan. The deposit is taken about 1 hour before pickup, never when you book. Each extra driver is checked the same way and signs the rental agreement.
How a booking comes together
Pick the car and the dates that suit you, then send a request. There is no payment at that point. A person checks the request and sends you an offer with the full price. You have 24 hours to approve an offer, and payment comes with your approval.
Open a car to see its photos, rates, deposit and kilometres included. From 7 days, the weekly rate applies; up to 365 days, a trip never costs more than the monthly rate. At least 2 hours must separate the request from the pickup.
