Java and the Forester

Next door to Java are Selby, Lowry and Sitka.

Specs, explained

Its powertrain is the 2.5L 4-cylinder with all-wheel drive. It runs on regular gas. All-wheel drive helps when pulling away on snow; braking and steering still depend on the tires.

Expect about 25 litres for every 300 km, going by its 8.2 L/100 km combined rating. A 300 km weekend costs about $38.13 in energy at our price setting.

Space and size

The higher seat of a compact SUV gives a good view of the road in traffic.

Best uses

It suits a family trip where everyone and everything fits in one car. Families, skiers and anyone with bulky luggage.

Rent it from us

Tell us your dates and we check this car or the closest match. None in our fleet right now; ask and we look for one for your dates. Similar cars are below if you need one sooner.

What we check

You need to be 18 or older at pickup, with an Ontario G2 or G licence valid for the whole rental. Drivers below 26 pay a fee each day of the rental, and older drivers pay none. Bring the card you paid with and your original licence to the handover.

Third-party liability is part of every rate, and damage to the car is handled by OPCF 27, a card benefit or the CarmaCars Protection Plan. Deposits are listed car by car, so you can compare before you ask. Everyone who will drive signs the agreement after the licence check.

Booking, step by step

Start with a request. Choose the car, the pickup time and the return time, and send it without paying anything. We send the offer to your account and your email, with the total shown. If the offer works for you, approve and pay to confirm. If not, you owe nothing.

Every car has its own daily, weekend, weekly and monthly rate. Short trips and long stays use the same request; the rate follows the length. Last-minute plans are fine with at least 2 hours of notice.
