Renting: the basics

You must be 18 or older and hold a valid Ontario G2 or G licence. The young driver fee covers drivers under 26; older drivers pay no age fee. Bring a card in your name; a card in someone else's name cannot be used.

If your own policy has OPCF 27 or your card covers rental cars, use that; otherwise add the CarmaCars Protection Plan. Deposits differ by car. Each car's page shows its amount. Every renter goes through the same check of licence and identity before the car is confirmed.
