The 2020 Tesla Model Y Performance: Chauffeur service

The figures, translated

The engine is the electric motor, with all-wheel drive and a 1-speed automatic. Being electric, it is quiet and quick from a stop, and it charges at home, at work or at public chargers. All-wheel drive sends power to all four wheels, which helps on snow and wet roads; good tires still matter most.

It uses 17.4 kWh per 100 km, so 300 km takes about 52 kWh of charge. Rated range: 507 km. Winter and highway speeds bring it down. Every 100 km costs about $2.61 in electricity at our price setting.

What to expect from the Model Y

An SUV body means more headroom and a taller cargo opening than a car of the same length.

Who rents the Model Y

It suits a weekend away when the train does not reach where you are going. It suits a stretch of weeks between selling one car and buying the next.

Our Model Y cars

We have none on the site right now. Send a request for this exact car and we look for one for your dates. Similar cars are listed below if you need one now. A request for your dates gets you an offer from a person. Delivery to your door is available across the Toronto area.

What to have ready

We need every driver to be at least 18, with an Ontario G2 or G licence. Under 26, a young driver fee applies for each day of the rental. Your licence and the card you paid with come with you to the pickup.

Liability to others is in the rate. Damage to the car is handled by your policy (OPCF 27), your card's rental benefit, or the CarmaCars Protection Plan, priced in your offer. A deposit applies to every rental. It is shown on the car's page and taken about 1 hour before pickup. Name every driver in your request, and each is checked before pickup.

From your dates to the handover

First, a request: the car you like, when you need it, and where. No payment yet. The reply is an offer you can read in full before you decide anything. Offers stay open for 24 hours. Approve one and pay to book the car.

Compare cars side by side by opening their pages. Stay as long as you need: up to 365 days a booking, then renew. At least 2 hours must separate the request from the pickup.

Ready when you are

Look through the cars, choose one, and send a request when it suits you.
