Java and the A4

If you are starting from Toronto, rent the car here and drive it to Java. Java is about 1,072 km from Toronto, outside our delivery area.

Tara Village, South Side and Howe are the neighbouring places on our list.

What the figures tell you

The engine is the 2.0L 4-cylinder turbo, with front-wheel drive and a 7-speed automatic. It calls for premium gas, which costs more a litre than regular. Front-wheel drive is the usual layout for cars this size, predictable in the rain and the snow.

Its combined rating is 7.8 L/100 km, which means roughly 23 litres for 300 km. A 300 km weekend costs about $40.95 in energy at our price setting.

Who it is for

It suits a weekend away when the train does not reach where you are going. It suits commuters, couples and business trips.

The A4 in everyday use

As a compact car, it has a closed trunk that keeps luggage out of sight. The EPA measures its luggage space at 368 litres, roughly about two large suitcases and a few soft bags.

Getting one from us

Your request can name this exact car; the offer confirms what we can give you. There is no exact match in our fleet today. Request it and we search for one, or take a similar car. Similar cars are listed below if you need one now.

From request to keys

A short online request with the car and your times gets things moving, at no cost. Then we send an offer. The offer shows the price before 13% HST and the deposit. You decide: approve and pay, or let it go. No charge either way until you approve.

The rates you see on a car's page are the rates in your offer. A booking can be a single day or up to 365 days. We need at least 2 hours of notice before a pickup.

Before you rent

Drivers 18 and older can rent with a valid Ontario G2 or G licence. Under 26, a young driver fee applies for each day of the rental. Bring the card you paid with and your original licence to the handover.

Third-party liability is included in the rate. For damage to the car, you choose one of three options before pickup. Your deposit is held about 1 hour ahead of pickup and released after the return. Each extra driver is checked the same way and signs the rental agreement.
