What the specs mean

The powertrain here is the 2.0L 4-cylinder turbo hybrid with all-wheel drive and a 7-speed automatic. As a hybrid, it does best in stop-and-go traffic, where the electric motor does more of the work. All-wheel drive helps when pulling away on snow; braking and steering still depend on the tires.

It is rated at 8.3 L/100 km combined; 300 km takes about 25 litres. The fuel for 100 km comes to about $12.87 at our price setting.

A good match for

It suits a family trip where everyone and everything fits in one car. It suits a work trip where a reliable car matters more than anything else.

The A4 in everyday use

Being a compact car, it is easy to park and comfortable on longer drives. Luggage space is 340 litres, enough for about two large suitcases and a few soft bags.

Checking your details

We need every driver to be at least 18, with an Ontario G2 or G licence. There is no upper age limit, and drivers under 26 pay a fee for each day. Bring the card in your name that paid for the booking.

Before pickup, choose how damage to the car is handled: your auto policy (OPCF 27), your credit card's rental benefit, or the CarmaCars Protection Plan. A deposit applies to every rental. It is shown on the car's page and taken about 1 hour before pickup. Everyone who will drive signs the agreement after the licence check.

How to book

Booking starts online: pick the car, set the times, and send the request at no cost. A staff member reads the request and sends the offer. We reply within 2 hours. If it suits you, approve it and pay. Until then, nothing is charged.

Open a car to see its photos, rates, deposit and kilometres included. A week or more is priced at the weekly rate, from 7 days. With 2 hours of notice or more, a same-day pickup can work when the car is free.
