What the specs mean

Its 2.0L 4-cylinder turbo hybrid drives through a 7-speed automatic. As a hybrid, it does best in stop-and-go traffic, where the electric motor does more of the work. All-wheel drive sends power to all four wheels, which helps on snow and wet roads; good tires still matter most.

Combined fuel use is 8.2 L/100 km: about 25 litres for 300 km. The fuel for 100 km comes to about $12.71 at our price setting.

Practical details

As a compact car, it is easy to drive and park in the city. With 340 litres of luggage space by the EPA's measure, it takes about two large suitcases and a few soft bags.

Best uses

It suits a stretch between cars, by the week or the month. It suits a stretch of weeks between selling one car and buying the next.

Getting this car from us

A request for your dates gets you an offer from a person. We have none on the site right now. Send a request for this exact car and we look for one for your dates. Similar cars are listed below if you need one now. The car can come to your door in the Toronto area, or you pick it up at no charge.

Before you rent

Drivers need to be 18 or over, holding an Ontario G2 or G licence for the whole rental. Drivers under 26 pay a young driver fee for each day, shown on each car's page. A credit card in your name is needed, except on cars marked "no credit card needed", which take debit.

Every rate includes third-party liability. The car itself needs one of three options: OPCF 27, a card benefit, or the CarmaCars Protection Plan. Your deposit is held about 1 hour ahead of pickup and released after the return. Each renter is checked the same way, before the booking is confirmed.

Requesting a car

Booking starts online: pick the car, set the times, and send the request at no cost. You then get an offer from us with the car, the dates and the total before tax. Pay when you approve, not a minute before.

You can see every car's calendar and rates before you send anything. Rent for a day, a week or up to 365 days in one booking. Give us 2 hours or more before the pickup and we can usually make it work.
