Renting the 2014 Lexus IS
Want to know if the 2014 Lexus IS suits a car while yours is off the road? Read on. After a collision, your insurer may pay for the rental once your adjuster approves it. When your adjuster approves a rental, we can bill your insurance company directly.
Under the hood
The powertrain here is the 2.5L 6-cylinder with rear-wheel drive and a 6-speed automatic. It calls for premium gas, which costs more a litre than regular. Rear-wheel drive gives balanced handling; in winter, the tires make the biggest difference.
Fuel use is rated 9.7 L/100 km combined, so 300 km needs about 29 litres. In money, 1,000 km costs about $169.70 at our price setting.
The IS in everyday use
As a compact car, it is easy to drive and park in the city. Its 311 litres of luggage space fit about two large suitcases and a few soft bags.
Who rents the IS
It suits client visits, weddings and special weekends. It suits people curious about the model who want to drive it before they buy.
Getting this car from us
Ask for this exact car in your request, and we tell you what we can offer. None in our fleet right now; ask and we look for one for your dates. Similar cars are listed below if you need one now. Delivery starts at $75 plus distance; collecting the car yourself is free.
How a booking comes together
Booking is by request, never instant. You send the car and the dates, and a person at CarmaCars reviews it. Next comes our offer, with the confirmed car and every charge on one page. You pay only once you approve the offer.
A car's page shows the deposit and the kilometres included each day. Weekly pricing starts at 7 days, and a trip never costs more than that rate for a week. Same-day requests are fine with at least 2 hours of notice, when the car is free.
The rules, briefly
Renters must be at least 18 and hold an Ontario G2 or G licence. There is no maximum age. Drivers under 26 pay a young driver fee each day. Cars marked "no credit card needed" accept a debit card in your name; the others need a credit card.
You need one of three things in place for damage to the car: OPCF 27 on your own policy, a credit card that covers rentals, or the CarmaCars Protection Plan. Your deposit is held about 1 hour ahead of pickup and released after the return. We verify licences and identity for every renter, with no exceptions.
Next step
Pick the car that fits the trip and send a request.
