Specs, explained

Power comes from the 2.5L 4-cylinder, driving through an automatic (CVT). It runs on regular gas. With all-wheel drive, it pulls away more surely on slippery roads, though it does not stop any shorter.

Its combined rating is 8.2 L/100 km, which means roughly 25 litres for 300 km. A 300 km weekend costs about $38.13 in energy at our price setting.

What the Forester is like

The higher seat of a compact SUV gives a good view of the road in traffic.

Who rents the Forester

It suits a family trip where everyone and everything fits in one car. It suits someone whose own car is in the shop for a while.

Getting one from us

This exact car is not in our fleet at the moment; a request asks us to look for one. Meanwhile, 6 similar cars are listed below. Tell us your dates and we check this car or the closest match.

Booking in plain terms

Send a request for the car and dates you have in mind. It is free and it commits you to nothing. The offer we send lists the car we confirm and the full price. You pay when you approve, and only then.

Every car lists its own deposit and the kilometres included each day. One booking runs up to 365 days, and a longer stay renews with a new agreement. The shortest notice we accept before a pickup is 2 hours.

What we check

Renters must be at least 18 and hold an Ontario G2 or G licence. If you are under 26, expect a young driver fee each day; there is no upper age limit. We need to see the card and the licence of the person renting.

Third-party liability is included in the rate. For damage to the car, you choose one of three options before pickup. The deposit is taken about 1 hour before pickup, never when you book. We check every driver; it takes a few minutes and protects everyone.
