Rust repair: your Forester

Your 2021 Subaru Forester Base and rust repair: what to send us, what it involves, and a car to drive meanwhile. Rust is cut out or treated, then the area is refinished.

Size and finish

Tell us the year and the trim; the details change from one to the next. A bigger body means more surface to work on, which shows in the time. If the car has open recalls, a dealer fixes them; ask about them while the car is off the road.

The request

Send a few photos and the year and trim; that is enough for a first price. If the job turns out larger, we ask you before doing more. Tell us when the car is free and whether you can drop it off.

Before you drop the car off

Photos of the damage taken at the scene help with the repair and the claim. Leave a phone number where we can reach you during the day. Bring the keys you use every day, and the wheel lock key if the car has one.

What goes into a quote

Older paint or heavy wear can mean more preparation before the main work. Two cars of the same model can need different work, so we quote each one. We quote your car, not an average car, so the price fits the job.

After the work

Rinse off winter salt regularly to protect paint and wheels. Ask us when the next visit would make sense for your car.

Timing

Bigger jobs are booked in a few days ahead; small ones can often be fitted in sooner. We give you a time with the quote, so you can plan a rental for the right number of days.
