Specs, explained

Its electric motor drives through a 1-speed automatic. It is fully electric: no gas at all, and you return it with the charge it had at pickup. All-wheel drive helps when pulling away on snow; braking and steering still depend on the tires.

Rated energy use is 15.6 kWh per 100 km. A full charge is rated for 568 km; plan for less in the cold. At our price setting, driving 100 km costs about $2.34, and a 300 km weekend about $7.02.

A good match for

It suits a family trip where everyone and everything fits in one car. It suits anyone who needs a car for a few days, a week or a month without buying one.

What the Model 3 is like

As a mid-size car, it is easy to drive and park in the city. For luggage, 425 litres means a family's bags for a long weekend.

Rent it from us

Your request can name this exact car; the offer confirms what we can give you. None in our fleet right now; ask and we look for one for your dates. Meanwhile, 7 similar cars are listed below.

What we ask of drivers

Every driver needs an Ontario G2 or G licence and must be 18 or older. Under 26? You can rent, with a daily young driver fee shown on the car's page. The card you pay with must be yours, and you bring it to the handover.

Liability to other people is included in every rate. For the car itself, pick your own policy (OPCF 27), a card with rental car benefits, or the CarmaCars Protection Plan. A deposit is held for every rental, about 1 hour before you get the car. Licence and identity checks happen before the booking is confirmed.

What to expect when you book

You request the car online with your dates, and you pay nothing to send it. The offer we send lists the car we confirm and the full price. An offer is valid for 24 hours, and you pay only when you approve it.

You can check any car's calendar before you send a request. A booking can be a single day or up to 365 days. Leave at least 2 hours between your request and the pickup.

Questions first?
