What the specs mean

The 2.0L 4-cylinder turbo hybrid with all-wheel drive is the powertrain to look at. As a hybrid, it does best in stop-and-go traffic, where the electric motor does more of the work. With all-wheel drive, it pulls away more surely on slippery roads, though it does not stop any shorter.

It is rated at 8.3 L/100 km combined; 300 km takes about 25 litres. A 300 km round trip costs roughly $38.61 at our price setting.

The A4 in everyday use

A car body like this keeps the weight low, so it feels settled on the highway. With 340 litres of luggage space by the EPA's measure, it takes about two large suitcases and a few soft bags.

Requesting a car

Tell us the car and the dates in a request. There is no fee for asking. We send the offer to your account and your email, with the total shown. You pay when you approve, and only then.

Rates are set car by car and shown on each car's page. A week or more is priced at the weekly rate, from 7 days. Short notice is fine: 2 hours is the minimum before a pickup.

Driver basics

Drivers need to be 18 or over, holding an Ontario G2 or G licence for the whole rental. Young drivers are welcome: a daily fee applies under 26. The name on the card has to match the name on the licence.

You need one of three things in place for damage to the car: OPCF 27 on your own policy, a credit card that covers rentals, or the CarmaCars Protection Plan. A deposit is held for every rental, about 1 hour before you get the car. A quick licence and identity check happens before we confirm any booking.
