What the specs mean

The powertrain here is the 2.0L 4-cylinder turbo hybrid with all-wheel drive and a 7-speed automatic. As a hybrid, it does best in stop-and-go traffic, where the electric motor does more of the work. All-wheel drive helps when pulling away on snow; braking and steering still depend on the tires.

Expect about 25 litres for every 300 km, going by its 8.3 L/100 km combined rating. Per 100 km, plan on roughly $12.87.

The A4 in everyday use

As a compact car, it is easy to drive and park in the city. Luggage space is 340 litres, enough for about two large suitcases and a few soft bags.

Your request, our offer, your keys

Requests are free: choose a car, add your dates, and send it. A staff member reads the request and sends the offer. We reply within 2 hours. Say yes to the offer and pay; that is when the booking is made.

Every car lists its own deposit and the kilometres included each day. Bookings run from one day up to 365 days at a time. Leave at least 2 hours between your request and the pickup.

Driver requirements

Drivers from 18 up, with an Ontario G2 or G licence, are welcome. If you are under 26, expect a young driver fee each day; there is no upper age limit. A card in the driver's own name is required at the handover.

Third-party liability is part of every rate, and damage to the car is handled by OPCF 27, a card benefit or the CarmaCars Protection Plan. The deposit is separate from the rental price and is returned after the rental. We check every driver; it takes a few minutes and protects everyone.
