Reading the spec sheet
Its 1.8L 4-cylinder hybrid drives through an automatic (CVT). As a hybrid, it does best in stop-and-go traffic, where the electric motor does more of the work. Front-wheel drive is the usual layout for cars this size, predictable in the rain and the snow.
Rated at 5.7 L/100 km combined, it needs around 17 litres for a 300 km round trip. A 300 km round trip costs roughly $26.52 at our price setting.
Who it is for
It suits anyone who needs a car for a few days, a week or a month without buying one. It suits a weekend away when the train does not reach where you are going.
What the CT is like
It is a straightforward car to drive, park and live with. Its 396 litres of luggage space fit about two large suitcases and a few soft bags.
Rent it from us
None in our fleet right now; ask and we look for one for your dates. Meanwhile, 6 similar cars are listed below. Want a car for specific dates? Put them in the request and we check. Delivery and pickup are both options across the Toronto area.
How a booking comes together
You ask for the car you want for the dates you need. The request itself is free. A staff member reads the request and sends the offer. We reply within 2 hours. If it suits you, approve it and pay. Until then, nothing is charged.
You can check any car's calendar before you send a request. One booking runs up to 365 days, and a longer stay renews with a new agreement. A request can be for today, as long as the pickup is at least 2 hours away.
Rules for renters
The minimum age is 18, and the licence must be an Ontario G2 or G, valid for the whole trip. Under 26, a young driver fee applies for each day of the rental. Debit works on cars marked "no credit card needed"; the others take a credit card.
The CarmaCars Protection Plan is priced in your offer by car and driver age, as one of three options for damage to the car. We take the deposit shortly before pickup and return it after the car comes back. Every renter goes through the same check of licence and identity before the car is confirmed.
