The 2012 Lexus RX: Courtesy car
Here is the 2012 Lexus RX, for anyone after a car while yours is off the road. After a collision, your insurer may pay for the rental once your adjuster approves it. When your adjuster approves a rental, we can bill your insurance company directly.
Engine and fuel
Its 3.5L 6-cylinder hybrid drives through an automatic (CVT). It is a hybrid: the battery charges itself as you drive and brake, so there is nothing to plug in. With front-wheel drive, the weight of the engine sits over the driven wheels, which helps in winter.
It is rated at 8.0 L/100 km combined; 300 km takes about 24 litres. At our price setting, driving 100 km costs about $12.40, and a 300 km weekend about $37.20.
Practical details
As an SUV, it sits higher than a sedan, which makes getting in and loading easier.
Who it is for
It suits someone whose own car is in the shop for a while. It suits a stretch of weeks between selling one car and buying the next.
Our RX cars
Put this car and your dates in a request, and we reply with an offer. Similar cars are listed below if you need one now. None in our fleet right now; ask and we look for one for your dates. Delivery is priced by distance in your offer, and pickup from us is free.
Getting the car booked
The first step is a free request: which car, which dates, and how you want to get it. You then get an offer from us with the car, the dates and the total before tax. Approve the offer to book the car. That is the moment you pay, not before.
The calendar on each car's page helps you pick dates that work. Trips of 7 days or more use the weekly rate, and shorter trips never cost more than it. The minimum notice is 2 hours, so an afternoon pickup can be requested in the morning.
What we need from you
Ontario G2 or G licences are accepted, for drivers 18 and older. If you are under 26, expect a young driver fee each day; there is no upper age limit. Your licence and the card you paid with come with you to the pickup.
The CarmaCars Protection Plan is priced in your offer by car and driver age, as one of three options for damage to the car. The deposit amount depends on the car and is shown on its page. The checks are the same for everyone: licence, identity and the agreement.
