Reading the spec sheet

Its powertrain is the electric motor with all-wheel drive. It is fully electric: no gas at all, and you return it with the charge it had at pickup. With all-wheel drive, it pulls away more surely on slippery roads, though it does not stop any shorter.

Energy use is rated at 18.6 kWh/100 km, about 56 kWh for 300 km. The EPA rates its range at 507 km. Winter cold and fast highway driving cut that down. A 300 km round trip costs roughly $8.37 at our price setting.

Booking in plain terms

Choose a car, set the pickup and return times, and send the request. You pay nothing to ask. The reply is an offer you can read in full before you decide anything. Nothing is charged until you approve it and pay.

Each car's calendar shows the days it is already booked. The longer the booking, the lower the rate a day tends to be. Pickups need at least 2 hours of notice from the time you send the request.

Renting: the basics

You need an Ontario G2 or G licence, valid for the whole rental, and to be 18 or older. From 26, no age fee applies; below it, a daily young driver fee does. Payment is by a card in your name, shown with your licence at pickup.

Every rate includes third-party liability. The car itself needs one of three options: OPCF 27, a card benefit, or the CarmaCars Protection Plan. The deposit comes about 1 hour before you get the car, not at booking. Each driver named on the booking signs the rental agreement.
