The Corolla and Java

Java is about 1,639 km from our Toronto location, beyond the area we deliver to. If you need it in Java itself, send a request and we will tell you honestly whether we can help.

Neighbouring areas include Selby, Lowry and Sitka.

Engine and fuel

Its 1.8L 4-cylinder drives through an automatic (CVT). It runs on regular gas. Front-wheel drive is the usual layout for cars this size, predictable in the rain and the snow.

Expect about 23 litres for every 300 km, going by its 7.5 L/100 km combined rating. Expect about $11.63 per 100 km at our price setting.

Is it right for your trip?

It suits visitors who want a familiar car for a week in town. It suits anyone who needs a car for a few days, a week or a month without buying one.

Inside and out

As a mid-size car, it is easy to drive and park in the city. The EPA measures its luggage space at 368 litres, roughly about two large suitcases and a few soft bags.

Getting one from us

Ask for your dates, and we reply with what we can offer. Similar cars are below if you need one sooner. None in our fleet right now; ask and we look for one for your dates.

What to expect when you book

Pick the car and the dates that suit you, then send a request. There is no payment at that point. A staff member reads the request and sends the offer. We reply within 2 hours. The car is yours for those dates once you approve and pay the offer.

Each car has its own page with its photos, its rates and its calendar. A booking can be a single day or up to 365 days. Requests need at least 2 hours of notice before the pickup time.

The rules, briefly

Renters must be at least 18 and hold an Ontario G2 or G licence. Young drivers, under 26, can rent too, with a fee for each day. You show your original licence and your card when we hand you the keys.

Third-party liability is part of every rate, and damage to the car is handled by OPCF 27, a card benefit or the CarmaCars Protection Plan. There is a deposit for each rental, taken shortly before pickup rather than at booking. Every renter goes through the same check of licence and identity before the car is confirmed.
