Emissions test: how we help
For an emissions test on your 1997 Saturn SW2, we arrange a trusted shop; CarmaCars does not do the work. Emissions tests are required in some provinces and states; a licensed shop does the test.
Details the shop needs
A photo of the dashboard warning light helps the shop prepare. Say whether the car is drivable; it changes how it gets to the shop. Mention the trim and engine in your request; parts differ between them.
Who does what
Tell us when suits you, and whether the car can be driven. The repair is between you and the shop; the rental is with us. Send the car's details and what it needs; we take it from there.
Keep moving meanwhile
Add a rental to the same request as the repair. The rental is priced like any other on our site. We deliver across the Toronto area, or you collect the car from our location for free.
A short checklist
Ask whether the estimate includes tax and shop supplies. Ask whether the quote includes both parts and labour. Ask the shop to call you before doing anything not on the estimate.
Between shop visits
Wash the underside of the car in winter to clear road salt. Switch to winter tires before the first snow, and back in spring. Check the tire pressure once a month, when the tires are cold.
Get an offer
Start with the car, the job and your location.
Request emissions test
Tell us when suits you. A person replies within one business day and arranges it with a trusted shop or recommends one; the shop sets its own price and time.
