Engine repair: how we help

Your 2024 Audi A4 Progressiv needs engine work? We do not do mechanical work, but we arrange it and rent you a car meanwhile. Engine work ranges from a leak to a rebuild; the shop inspects the car and quotes it.

Before the shop sees your A4

The shop may ask for the VIN to order the right parts. A photo of the dashboard warning light helps the shop prepare. Note the mileage on the odometer when you send the request. The 2.0L 4-cylinder turbo hybrid, paired with a 7-speed automatic, drives it.

What CarmaCars does here

You agree the price with the shop before any work starts. Send a request with the car and what it needs; a person replies within one business day and arranges it with a trusted shop or recommends one. We do not set the shop's price or promise a date.

No car? Rent one meanwhile

A rental keeps your week on track during the repair. Pick a car that suits your week from our fleet. Collect the car at our location for free, or have it delivered.

Good habits for your car

Listen for new noises and mention them to the shop with as much detail as you can. Switch to winter tires before the first snow, and back in spring. Top up the washer fluid with a winter mix in the cold months.

Talking to the shop

Ask whether the parts are new, rebuilt or used. Ask the shop to call you before doing anything not on the estimate. Ask how long the job should take, so you know how long to rent for.

Talk to a person

Tell us the job and the car, and a person replies.
