Engine repair: how we help
For engine work on the BYD, a trusted shop does the work and CarmaCars arranges it, with a rental if you need one. An engine that runs rough, smokes or overheats needs a look soon.
Details the shop needs
Say whether the car is drivable; it changes how it gets to the shop. The shop may ask for the VIN to order the right parts. The shop sets its own price and time after it sees the car.
What CarmaCars does here
We pass your request to a trusted shop or give you its name. Tell us when suits you, and whether the car can be driven. We do not set the shop's price or promise a date.
A rental while you wait
A rental from us keeps you moving while the shop has your car. We can have a rental ready the day your car goes in. We meet you with the car at the time we confirm, at your address or ours.
Good habits for your car
Use the grade of fuel your owner's manual calls for. Keep an emergency kit in the trunk in winter. Have the cabin air filter changed on the maker's schedule.
Talking to the shop
If you want to see the old parts, ask for them back. Ask how the shop takes payment before you pick the car up. Ask for the work to be listed line by line on the invoice.
Make a request
Send a request with the car and what it needs, and a person replies within one business day.
