The 2004 Cadillac DeVille: Engine repair
CarmaCars does not do mechanical work, but for engine work on the 2004 Cadillac DeVille we arrange a trusted shop. An engine that runs rough, smokes or overheats needs a look soon.
About your DeVille
Say whether the car is drivable; it changes how it gets to the shop. Bring the owner's manual or service records if you have them. The shop sets its own price and time after it sees the car. Under the hood: the 4.6L 8-cylinder and front-wheel drive.
Our part and the shop's part
Send a request with the car and what it needs; a person replies within one business day and arranges it with a trusted shop or recommends one. We can deliver a rental to you while your car is at the shop. We tell you plainly if we do not know a shop for the job.
Driving while yours is at the shop
We collect the rental when your car is back. Keep the rental as long as the repair takes. Delivery and pickup are both options across the Toronto area.
A short checklist
Ask whether anything else is close to needing attention, and how soon. If the car must stay overnight, ask where it will be kept. Ask the shop to call you before doing anything not on the estimate.
Good habits for your car
Keep the fuel tank above a quarter in winter. Clear snow off the whole car, roof included, before you drive. Check the tire pressure once a month, when the tires are cold.
