Arranging the work for the ES
For engine work on the 2016 Lexus ES, a trusted shop does the work and CarmaCars arranges it, with a rental if you need one. An engine that runs rough, smokes or overheats needs a look soon.
Details the shop needs
If you have the service history of your ES, have it ready for the shop. Tell the shop the year, the trim and the engine: the 2.5L 4-cylinder hybrid. The shop may ask for the VIN to order the right parts. Power comes from the 2.5L 4-cylinder hybrid, driving through an automatic (CVT).
What to send us
We follow up until the shop has the car booked in. Send a request with the car and what it needs; a person replies within one business day and arranges it with a trusted shop or recommends one. We pass your request to a trusted shop or give you its name.
A rental while you wait
Add a rental to the same request as the repair. A rental keeps your week on track during the repair. Delivery to your door is available across the Toronto area.
What to ask
Ask what warranty the shop gives on its parts and labour. Ask how the shop takes payment before you pick the car up. Ask whether the quote includes both parts and labour.
Small things that help
Clear snow off the whole car, roof included, before you drive. Check the tire pressure once a month, when the tires are cold. Replace wiper blades when they streak; it matters in rain and snow.
Talk to a person
A request is free and gets a reply within one business day.
Request engine repair
Tell us when suits you. A person replies within one business day and arranges it with a trusted shop or recommends one; the shop sets its own price and time.
