Arranging the work for the IS
Your 2019 Lexus IS needs engine work? We arrange a trusted shop; CarmaCars does not do the work. Engine work ranges from a leak to a rebuild; the shop inspects the car and quotes it.
Your car, your notes
Say whether the car is drivable; it changes how it gets to the shop. Note the mileage on the odometer when you send the request. Tell the shop the year, the trim and the engine: the 2.0L 4-cylinder turbo. The 2.0L 4-cylinder turbo is what moves it, with rear-wheel drive.
What to send us
You agree everything with the shop before work begins. We pass your request to a trusted shop or give you its name. The shop sets the price and the time after seeing the car.
Driving while yours is at the shop
The rental is priced like any other on our site. Keep moving with a rental while the shop has your car, by the day at our usual rates. We deliver around Toronto; pickup at our location is free.
Talking to the shop
If a warning light was the reason, ask what the code was and what fixed it. Ask when the car will be ready and how the shop will tell you. Ask what warranty the shop gives on its parts and labour.
Good habits for your car
Replace wiper blades when they streak; it matters in rain and snow. Keep the fuel tank above a quarter in winter. Check that all lights work every few weeks.
Your move
Send the car's details and the job, and we take the next step.
Request engine repair
Tell us when suits you. A person replies within one business day and arranges it with a trusted shop or recommends one; the shop sets its own price and time.
