Arranging the work for the LX
Searching for engine repair for the 2007 Lexus LX? CarmaCars does not do this work itself; we arrange it with a trusted shop. Engine work ranges from a leak to a rebuild; the shop inspects the car and quotes it.
Details the shop needs
Your owner's manual lists the maintenance schedule for the LX. Note the mileage on the odometer when you send the request. A photo of the dashboard warning light helps the shop prepare. Its powertrain is the 4.7L 8-cylinder with all-wheel drive.
How the arrangement works
Send a request with the car and what it needs; a person replies within one business day and arranges it with a trusted shop or recommends one. We keep you posted until the car is booked in. Send the car's details and what it needs; we take it from there.
A car meanwhile
If the repair runs long, keep the rental longer. We deliver the rental to you and collect it when your car is ready. We hand every car over in person, at your address or at our location.
Good habits for your car
Check the tire pressure once a month, when the tires are cold. Top up the washer fluid with a winter mix in the cold months. If the car pulls to one side, ask the shop to check the alignment and the tires.
Talking to the shop
Ask whether anything else is close to needing attention, and how soon. Ask whether the quote includes both parts and labour. Ask what warranty the shop gives on its parts and labour.
