Engine repair: how we help
For engine work on your 2007 Lexus SC, we arrange a trusted shop; CarmaCars does not do the work. An engine that runs rough, smokes or overheats needs a look soon.
Before the shop sees your SC
The shop may ask for the VIN to order the right parts. Say whether the car is drivable; it changes how it gets to the shop. Tell the shop the year, the trim and the engine: the 4.3L 8-cylinder. Under the hood: the 4.3L 8-cylinder and rear-wheel drive.
The steps
The shop quotes the job; you approve it before any work. You agree everything with the shop before work begins. The shop sets the price and the time after seeing the car.
Your rental while you wait
Rent for as long as the job takes, by the day or the week. We collect the rental when your car is back. Pick it up from us for free, or have it brought to you.
Between shop visits
Clear snow off the whole car, roof included, before you drive. Listen for new noises and mention them to the shop with as much detail as you can. Follow the maintenance schedule in your owner's manual, by time or distance.
Getting a clear quote
Ask for the work to be listed line by line on the invoice. Keep the invoice; it is part of the car's service history. Ask for a written estimate before any work starts.
Let us know
Need a rental too? Add it to the same request.
Request engine repair
Tell us when suits you. A person replies within one business day and arranges it with a trusted shop or recommends one; the shop sets its own price and time.
