The Mobility Ventures: Engine repair
Searching for engine repair for the Mobility Ventures? CarmaCars does not do this work itself; we arrange it with a trusted shop. An engine that runs rough, smokes or overheats needs a look soon.
Your car, your notes
The shop may ask for the VIN to order the right parts. Say whether the car is drivable; it changes how it gets to the shop. Tell the shop about any warning light or sound you have noticed.
The steps
Send the car's details and what it needs; we take it from there. Your request goes to a person, who arranges a trusted shop or gives you its name. Send a request with the car and what it needs; a person replies within one business day and arranges it with a trusted shop or recommends one.
No car? Rent one meanwhile
Add a rental to the same request as the repair. Rent by the day while the shop has your car. The car can come to your door in the Toronto area, or you pick it up at no charge.
Talking to the shop
If a warning light was the reason, ask what the code was and what fixed it. Ask whether the estimate includes tax and shop supplies. If you want to see the old parts, ask for them back.
Good habits for your car
Follow the maintenance schedule in your owner's manual, by time or distance. Use the grade of fuel your owner's manual calls for. Check the tire pressure once a month, when the tires are cold.
