The Morgan: Engine repair
For engine work on the Morgan, CarmaCars arranges a trusted shop and rents you a car while yours is in. An engine that runs rough, smokes or overheats needs a look soon.
Your car, your notes
Tell the shop about any warning light or sound you have noticed. A photo of the dashboard warning light helps the shop prepare. Note the mileage on the odometer when you send the request.
What CarmaCars does here
We do not set the shop's price or promise a date. We keep you posted until the car is booked in. The shop sets the price and the time after seeing the car.
Driving while yours is at the shop
A rental keeps your week on track during the repair. If the repair runs long, keep the rental longer. Pick it up from us for free, or have it brought to you.
Car care, briefly
Keep the fuel tank above a quarter in winter. Check that all lights work every few weeks. Clear snow off the whole car, roof included, before you drive.
Before the shop starts
Ask whether the estimate includes tax and shop supplies. Ask whether the parts are new, rebuilt or used. Ask how long the job should take, so you know how long to rent for.
Want a price?
Ask us, and we tell you whether we can arrange it.
Request engine repair
Tell us when suits you. A person replies within one business day and arranges it with a trusted shop or recommends one; the shop sets its own price and time.
